The Wolfsburg-based development service provider ES-Tec is expanding its management team and has appointed Thomas Köhler to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as of 15 February. Alongside owner and general manager Marc Wille, Thomas Köhler will in future be jointly responsible for the operative business and develop new business areas.

Over the past 16 years, Marc Wille has developed the start-up ES-Tec into a strongly growing, internationally active company with over 350 employees. ES-Tec sees itself as an interface between OEM and TIER 1 in driver assistance systems and comfort electronics. With the companies GE-T GmbH and CUBOS GmbH, ES-Tec now forms a group of companies whose performance profile has been expanded to include touch technologies, charging infrastructure and photovoltaics. The ES-Tec Group is now represented in Ingolstadt, Berlin, Changchun (China) and Casablanca (Morocco).

As Chief Technology Officer, Thomas Köhler, most recently Chief Digital Officer at in-tech, will strengthen the company's top management. "The future of mobility is driven by software. We are therefore particularly pleased to be able to expand our expertise with Thomas Köhler in order to enter new markets and business areas," explains Marc Wille.

Thomas Köhler himself continues to see the future of ES-Tec in the automotive industry: "IT services and IT consulting are currently in high demand. With our expertise in automation, simulation and software-supported development, we can actively shape the mobility of tomorrow."
